Hotel Renovo is a hotel in West Des Moines featuring 102 urban farm inspired guest rooms as well as a full-service restaurant and bar. The hotel and its rooms are designed with a minimalist approach, giving guests a clean and relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long day.
I was tasked to photograph the hotel experience, highlighting what makes Hotel Renovo different from the rest!
Seasonal e-book containing inspirational recipes coupled with retail items for The Machine Shed brand. Content has been provided but design and retail material photography is original. Photoshoot was organized by the retail department but was fun to photograph. This is an ideal situation for me in which I could visualize what I wanted in every page and was able to capture specific images. This was a fun project during my favorite season!

Website, Mobile Experience, Print Mailer
Prototypes created for a new business venture with integrated Isis technology. Originally designed for a test market. Audience would receive a mailer that would allow them to scan a QR code that would navigate them through new phone technology set-up, buy a new phone with integrated technology, or to modify an existing device. It is also specifically designed with a mobile experience in mind. It allows for new offers and rewards to be delivered through an "offers feed".
"The mobile wallet safely stores credit and debit cards while organizing loyalty memberships, offers and coupons. Carry it all on the device you already take everywhere: your phone."

A service offering used for packing and kitting. Website designed as an e-commerce site, not to veer far from their original store website, but to provide a new look and feel for packing and kitting purposes. Direct mailing piece is intended for promotional use. Vinyl banner for warehouse location was intended to create excitement about the Harley Davidson brand.

The goal of a kids menu is to keep little diners entertained and give parents a chance to relax and enjoy the restaurant atmosphere. A good children's menu includes fun activities: games, puzzles, mazes, riddles, word-search, or a drawing prompt. It should be inventive and fun too!
These are a lot of fun to put together!

In Store Displays
The following are designs for in-store displays. The table top display to the right has been designed as a "pop-up" so that customers can wave their phone over an embedded chip within the display and register to a service so they can receive rewards. Large scale posters and banners have also been designed to create an in-store experience.

The AT&T Digital Life Culture Project was aimed at internal AT&T staff. The project intended to empower employees about the Digital Life product offerings and for internal recognition of those employees going above and beyond their duties.

Multiple websites designed for external and internal offerings. The "Michelin Employee Rebate Center" allows employees to register their purchases in a store or office kiosk. Employees are able to enter their information quickly to receive a rebate in the mail. The "Michelin Connect Portal" presented the internal staff with organizational tools such as meeting workspaces, calendar, and task assignments.

Veterinary Hospital logo for Davenport practice on Kimberly and Pine Street. Multiple options were reviewed by their employees as well as their corporate headquarters. Worked with signage company to move existing sign in Milan property and move it to new location.

New Pentecostal Church that merged four other locations into one. Brand development and brand guidelines were developed and currently developing new website and marketing package for new location.
The Machine Shed E-Book for 2016 features their very first baker Cindy Johnson. The e-book is meant to give tips and tricks to make your very own Machine Shed pie – just in time for the holidays! The eBook contains everything from our favorite pie and crust recipes, to an exclusive interview with Cindy Johnson who has been baking for decades.
All photographs were shot on location by me and I also created the layout. It was also great tasting each pie!

These vehicle wraps were created for The J Bar Restaurant and Bar. They were created prior to the opening of the restaurants in both the Davenport, Iowa location as well as the Olatha, Kansas market. They were meant to peak curiosity in the new hotel and restaurant. On social media the public was encouraged to "Spot the J" in order to receive prices.
The Republic on Grand is a hotel restaurant and bar located within the AC Hotel in the Des Moines East Village. The main idea behind this temporary wayfinding solution was to move the hotel guest through the lobby and up to the sixth floor. To accomplish this goal, a metallic vinyl substrate was applied to the walls, floor and elevator doors to guide the public through the space. The metallic vinyl is only temporary so that the surfaces and finishes of the building are not damaged. An additional vinyl wrap was created for the interior of the elevator to entice the public to stop on the sixth floor to sip, relax and repeat.
The Republic on Grand is a bar and bites concept located within the AC Hotel in the East Village of Des Moines. Every item on the menu was photographed to entice the public. The branding for this hotel is traditional with a modern twist much like their food!
Sit inside or check out the sixth floor outdoor lounge overlooking the downtown city lights. Pair a craft cocktail with artisanal chef favorites – featuring eclectic American cuisine. Join us and "Sip. Relax. Repeat."
Hotel Renovo is an independent hotel concept created by Heart of America Group. The branding was created to reflect a boutique hotel concept that is rooted in the midwest. The serene hotel enhances the prairie land on which it sits through a mix of minimal design and modern farmhouse detailing.
I've photographed and styled Thunder Bay Grille food highlighting the rustic ambience and fresh ingredients.
Thunder Bay Grille is perfect place for gathering, relaxing and socializing – an ideal atmosphere for business or pleasure. Cuisine offering regionally sourced entrees and hand-crafted dishes.
The Republic on Grand is located in the AC Hotel in the Des Moines East Village. I was tasked with creating the exterior signage which is composed of a custom sign that is over 25 foot tall and a lightbox next to the entry.
The first two images are renderings of the proposed signage and the additional four are final photography of the result.
Thunder Bay Grille was looking for a brand re-fresh that reflected their rustic aesthetic. They had evolved over the years to highlighting fresh seafood and rustic American favorites with a twist!
